A heavenly wild flower meadow for the community at the Field of Dreams at South Petherton

There is a little two-acre plot tucked away in the village of South Petherton; a little piece of heaven called the Field of Dreams. It is quiet and still, little pathways meander through millions of wild flowers; a summery haze of colour abuzz with butterflies and bees.

It had been an area of old scrub and not well looked after so the owners decided to do something wonderful with it – for wildlife, and for the community. There’s an honesty box on the gate for charitable donations but actually what you experience is priceless; it’s so uplifting. It really is the dreamiest place in the world and only opens for a couple of months in the summer.  Tread softly…
